The goal of this project was to create an integrated system for a business or service. The system needed to include at least four materials and remain consistent across various media.
trichologie is a full-service hair salon and brow bar located in Brookline, Massachusetts. The salon provides comprehensive guidance for people with hair loss and other scalp conditions.
Because of the sensitive and stigmatized nature of hair loss, the branding had to be reassuring. At the same time, trichologie’s mission was to challenge the stigma surrounding hair loss, so the brand also needed to be empowering.
Through the use of bright, vibrant colors, high-contrast black and white photography, and subtle patterns, the overall branding is professional yet approachable. These elements were used across the system in the logo, as print elements in an informational booklet, as a visual language for an Instagram profile, and on a website.
